Hahahahaha BlueDust, I LOVE YOUR STORY!!!!!!!!! I would do the EXACT SAME THING if I were in that situation. There have been MANY occasions where, if I have the chance, I tell anybody and everybody that I absolutely love the Goo Goo Dolls! They don't really care because most of them have never heard of them and they just say, "What kind of name is "Goo Goo Dolls"?". It's sad, but I don't care. Half the time I just want to look at them and say, "Have you ever heard of a song called "Iris"?".......they'd probably be like, "What?" and then I'd start singing it and be like, "And I'd give up forever to touch you, cuz I know that you feel me somehow" and they'd probably still be clueless so then I'd be like, "And I don't want the world to see me cuz I don't think that they'd understand. When everything's made to be broken, I just want you to know who I am." Then the person would be like, "Oh yeah, I know that song!" And I'd be all sarcastic and be like, "Ya think? Duh you weirdo, the Goo Goo Dolls sing that song!!!!"
Oh man, I think I've actually done something similar to that in the past. I can't help it! If I come across somebody who doesn't know who the guys are then I let them know who they are, damnit!
Anyway, sorry if this entire post is really hard to follow, but it's 2:08 AM right now and I should be in bed, but obviously I'm not.
Hey shottzie, mad, mad, mad shout outs to you!!!!! I hope you'll have some fun with the ladies and I in here. I'm sure that you can tell that we're all pretty close in here and we say what we want! Please feel free to talk with us, you're definitely welcome.
Ok well I think I shall venture downstairs to try and get some sleep. I'm going to try and sleep on the couch tonight because my room smells. My rat (Iris..... yes I named my rat Iris and we all know why!) is starting to smell up my room. Goodnight ladies, or rather good morning/afternoon! Love you all!gooangela I have a funny story to tell you... Okay, here goes...I was driving to work...The signal light turned red, so of course I stopped.... I turned on the radio and "Stay with you" was playing Who Hooo..Hehehe!! I started to dance in my seat while waiting for the light to turn green..I galanced to my left and there was a patrol car besides me..Both the driver and the passenger were looking at me...They were laughing their heads off...I rolled down my window and said I love the Goo Goo Dolls... They just smiled...I was so embarrassed I put the visor to the side so they could see me, well it really didn't sheild me too much...I could still see the chuckling... the light turned green and I continued my drive to work..Anyway have a great night...BlueDust
Ok my bad, the record was 131, so I was one off. Still, we've already beat that because this is 135. OH GUESS WHAT?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! I heard "Better Days" on the radio tonight! I was soooooooooooo happy! I basically shouted to the entire store what song it was and they all gave me funny looks because sadly, none of the people that were watching me had ever heard of the GGD........... *tear* Anyway, I was really excited so that's all that counts!
72 to 200...Here's an addendum to my earlier story. I took my sister-in-law to the GGd's concert on Aug 18th. (she likes the counting crows)BUT after the GGD's performed she told me to always count her in for ANY of their (GGD's) future concerts. They are contagious! (In a good way) My sister-in-law then won two tickets to see Sheryl Crow and John Mayer for last week, with an opportunity to meet and take a picture with John Mayer. We got to stand on either side of him for the picture and he was genuinely NICE. Also a lot taller than I thought. But all I kept thinking about was "darn, wrong John!" Concert was great. Enjoyed all the music, but I kept looking at my watch and saying right now the GGD's are playing in Dallas!! Wish I were there. My sister-in-law just thought I was plain gone. My "Here is Gone" reply was lost to her...She'll learn;)
Yeah Missy, I forgot to tell you that I hope you get better. I'm sorry that I gave you my cold.......... "You're Song" is a really great song, but I really like "Candle in the Wind" and "Rocket Man". I mean all of Elton John's songs are fantastic, but those are my favorite. Have tons of fun! Be sure to let us know how it went AND you must let me know if you see his tour bus!!!!!!!
C'mon ladies! 200 posts isn't the easiest thing to reach and I can't do it all on my own! LET'S GO!
Oh and, just to fit in with Missy and Twilight's stuff....... my favorite song on Live In Buffalo before the rain is "Black Balloon" and after the rain it's "Here Is Gone". I love it! I should watch Live In Buffalo today........ hey so what do you all think about the Let Love In DVD?!?!?!?!?! I can't wait until it's released in the US! Oh and I'm so excited for the "Let Love In" music video! Robby said it's going to be released in October!
Anyway, have a great day everybody!Hey gooangela, I only have 1 Chili Peppers cd, they're just one of my fun bands I listen to before a game or I'm home alone for hours and feel like running around the house just because I can. Twilight I love watching "What a Scene" too, John does look really content, my favorite is "Here Is Gone" on LIB, it just fits for it to be played in the rain. But I do like "Broadway" a lot when Mike shows up outta nowhere and it just makes the energy on stage shoot up. Hey we only have 74 more comments to go til we get to 200! I'm going to sleep, I gotta get better for tomorrow. Thanks gooangela, I know I'll have fun tomorrow night, I hope he'll play "You're Song" though, it's my fav Elton John song! Good night to all!
Oh wow. I'm just now realizing how much I take these posts for granted. I think I've grown a beard while reading, it's taken that long. :P Missy, I forgot to anwser your question. I'm pretty sure it's on the Pink Pez pic, but I'm anwsering here. I loved Live In Buffalo. I liked the GGD music and what Angela had told me about them, but what really got me hooked is during "What a Scene" when John's singing the 'nah nah nahs' at the end. He looks so compltely content in that moment. 'What A Scene' is my favorite song, closely followed by 'It's Over' 'Better Days' and 'Here Is Gone' I'm not as die-hard as Angela or probally you are, but I enjoy their music and seeing the happiness it brings people (cough, cough, Angela).
Yes Missy, we are going to need everybody to get to 200! I know, I've seen some of the best bands out there, but I can't fight the feeling of being the most excited and overwhelmed to see the GGD in December. Oh by the way, Twilight is the friend that's going to the Anaheim show with my brother and I. I'm sure you figured that, but yeah, just felt like makin' sure you know cuz I'm weird like that! Anyway, I'm glad that you can relate with me on my GGD experiences!
So.. yeah I like the Chili Peppers somewhat. I don't listen to their music regularly or anything. They're one of those bands where if one of their songs comes on the radio, then you'll crank the radio, but that's that. How much do you like them? (If you don't read this until after the Elton John concert, HAVE FUN!!!!!!)gooangela I know exactly how you feel, I'll never froget my first real Goo experience, their music is a tool for healing, back then I was in that bad place too and the music helped me so much. And it's funny how John says music is the soundtrack to our live, he's so right, like I'll never forget the day I bought a Boy Named Goo and "dancing" (I don't dance very well) in the kitchen when I was home alone, or driving back on those car rides from my dad's to my mom's with the GGDs pumpin through the headphones as we drove past the windmills, just random stuff, but most of all I'll never forget my concert. I was so happy I was beyond tears, it was the happiest day of my life, I won the M&G, I was screaming at the top of my lungs to every song, I was 3 feet from Johnny and I was up there by myself, it will always be the best concert have ever been to. I mean I've seen U2, the Stones, Bon Jovi, Sting Queen, Santanna, some of the greatest bands in the world, but somehow none of those concerts could compare... wow I'm rambling. I should stop now. (: SO you like the Chili Peppers too? They are so completley awesome and just kinda random. Well I haven't gotten to my packing yet, and good job on converting Twilight, we're going to need everyone to get this pic to 200. (: Have a great night ladies!
Well jmt928, I'm glad you found your way to the GGD sooner or later. I think they makes everybody's day, every day! That's a really interesting and awesome story though!
Hey Missy! How do I remember what day I became their die hard fan? Well that's easy! It was an incredibly significant day in my life. I was very depressed and angry and stuff like that and I needed something to make me happy. Well, I was watching music videos in the middle of the night because I had nothing better to do. I had just seen "Dani California" by the Chili Peppers and I loved it. So as I was about to get up to go get a drink, this other video came on that caught my eye. I was looking at the TV and the video was all calm and subtle, but then the camera just passed in front of John's face and I was like, "OH MY GOD!!!! This is the Goo Goo Dolls!!! That's.... that's........ that's.........THAT'S JOHN RZEZNIK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" I was so happy because I was reminded of how much I loved all of their old songs. Anyway, so I sat down and watched the entire video. By the time it was over I was crying. When the little caption thing came up and it said "Better Days"
Goo Goo Dolls
Let Love In
I was soooooooooooooooooooooo happy! I was automatically in love and I went up to the computer right after that and literally spent six hours researching them and finding out everything I possibly could about them. By the end of that six hours I was happy and "in love"!
I have been hooked ever since. They are seriously what keeps me living from day to day (along with a couple of good friends, my mom, and all of you in here, ya know, basically my family!). I can't go a single day without visiting the IM, checking Robby's profile, listening to all of their music, and looking at pictures of them. These men are my life and I'm devoted to them.
Anyway, so that's why I remember what day it was exactly when I became a die hard GGD fan. I will never forget that day, EVER.I like hearing how people came about to love the GGD's! I wish I had listened to them years ago. But better later than never! I'm definately a "New Goo", but I'm making up for lost time. It's my new hobby (or as everyone else calls it...obsession). Thanks to the radio station that I won tickets to see the GGD perform one night back in April. I won the tickets for a friend, then we won two more (very lucky, I guess or it was fate). Well, long story short... I COULD NOT GET ENOUGH!!! When the performance was over, I was left wanting more. Thank goodness for cd's, itunes, DVD's and concerts. Saw them in concert here in August. Joined the IM few weeks ago. So a big THANK YOU to the Goo Goo Dolls for the music that makes my day, every day!
Hey everyone, you all know who you are, I have been a fan since 1998. My ex and I split up and I moved to where I am now, and I met one of my neighbors. I was at her house and she had the Dizzy up the Girl cd and we listened to it. I almost died, not kidding. I had heard Slide on the radio before, anyway I fell in Love. Then I looked at the cd insert and fell in LOVE with John. Very soon after I went and bought the tape (didn''t have a cd player yet). I wore out the tape, again not kidding. I bought a cd player and the Dizzy cd. I couldn't wait for Gutterflower and bought it the first day it went on sale with my last $20.00! That is how much I LOVE them!!
OMG! annabanana you've met Greenday?! I'm not that big of a fan but my friend Natasha is OBSESSED! If she knew that I knew someone who had met them she would scream for like 5 min straight and jump up and down, and be incredibly hyper for the rest of the day. So your parents are undertakers? My mom's side of the family have ALL been postal employees, mom's been in th P.O. for about 22 years I think, my nino had been in for like 20 or 25 years, my grandpa was in for like 30, and my 2 aunts and other uncle were in for about 3-5 years each. Here's some advice to all of you NEVER work in the Post Office! lol. People do go postal, I've seen it on many occasions. Hey gooangela I think you gave your cold to me, i don't know how that'd be possible but yeah. I thought it was my allergies the first couple days but today was HORRIBLE, I think I have a fever, but I couldn't stay home because my dad might not have let me go to the Elton John concert tomorrow night. Did I tell you I was going? I love Elton John! But the only good thing about being completely miserable today was I got a lot of sympathy hugs that's always nice. Actually I think peopl need like 12 hugs a day or something, I forget where I heard it... NEwayz we should so get to 200 coments! That'd be awesome! Well much love to you all! Oh hey gooangela, how did you remember the exact day you became a die hard fan? I only remember the first time I heard a GGD song, it was Sympathy and I was getting ready to leave for San Jose and I had just discovered an Alternative station and liked the music and then I heard Sympathy and I later asked my dad for the Gutterflower cd for me. And I fell in love with it, of course!
I AM HERE!!!!!!!! Sorry ladies for worrying you so much...... in a way, that makes me feel special, but I'm sorry for worrying you. I read through all of the comments from the "1000 night" and it sounds like you ladies had some fun. I wish I could have been there, but my mom and I went to the store and didn't get back until 8:30 or so, so I missed it. Anyway, seems like everybody has retired this picture........ oh well, it was fun while it lasted.
I had a SCARY, SCARY, SCARY night last night! When I got home last night, I fell asleep really fast. I didn't finally wake up until 1:30-ish in the morning and that was just because my mom woke me up. Anyway, so I was just going to sleep on the couch (because that's where I was) and my mom started heading upstairs. Right when she got to the top of the stairs we heard this squealing and skidding outside and then an EXTREMELY, EXTREMELY loud crash. Naturally I was freaking out! So we ran over to the windows and looked outside and saw this abandoned car, lights on, sitting on the sidewalk across the street. My mom and I stared out the window for a while (by the way, she got to the window faster than I did and she saw all the people from the car get out and run) until neighbors went out to the car. My mom was too chicken to go out there, but I did. I got to the car and the windshield was all smashed in and the dashboard was all torn apart, and not to mention the bottom of the car, which was all torn up because of the car hitting the curb. Anyway, so this girl was on the phone with the police while 7 of us neighbors were talking about what happened. So the police showed up and they had one of the people that was in the car, but the others were long gone. Anyway, so we all just went back to our homes and let the police deal with it. It was soooooooo scary though.
Anyway, I have to go, but I hope I'll talk to you ladies later. Love you!
Hi,everyone!! Happy first day of fall! It's been raining last couple of days, and it only makes me want to sleep! Speaking of sleep, glad your finally getting some, 2394! I see more pictures have been posted, mostly of animals. Quite a change from this monkey picture, huh? And for some reason I still keep coming back here to post comments??!!
Welcome back, Gooangela!

Gooangela I'm glad your back...Sorry you were frighten...Noises like that freaks me out too....
I had a little scare myself about a half an hour ago...I was driving home from the store, the light turned red, so naturally I stopped... I was in the lane to make a right hand turn when the car behind me bumpped into my car...To make a long story short...The brackets that hold the bumper to the frame needs to be replaced, and no serious damage was done to both cars...Thank GOD no one was injured...I don't think I can stand another injury like the on I suffered four years ago...Monday I'm going to take it into the shop and have them fix the brackets...Not a good way to start my vaction...

Hello, girlintx how are things going with you????
That's funny googirl1- Did I shave my legs? ummmmmm, let me check...Nope, they are stubby...Hahaha...The date went great...You know I should tell you his name now... His name is Josh Butler..Isn't that a great name(sigh)...I took Josh to a party my friend was hosting...We ate drank and and lisened to some music...Hehehe, as I was dancing with my friends Josh come up from behind me grabs my waist and started dancing behind me, talk about dirty dancing...Whoooooo, boy did the temprture go up a few degrees in that room last night.... I didn't get home until 1:15 in the morning...The party was so fun...I had a great time... Anyway thank you for asking...Have a great day and I will blog you later..Hugs BlueDust
Hey BlueDust, so you're starting vacation? Got anything planned? Or are you going to pull off a Melissa and sleep through most of it? (: I'm glad everything was alright and there was no damage to you or the other person. I'm angry! I was making a tortilla to take to my friend's bday party and when I went to flip it it all fell out onto the stove. I screwed up my finger yesterday so the pan slipped and now I've got a luch of potatoes and eggs. But other than that I'm watching U2 Live at Slane Castle right now, I swear I've watched over 50 times and I still love it. I'll probably end up watching LIB after it ends. God I love being home alone! Have a great day ladies! Gotta eat and do some pre-calc, love to you all!
BlueDust that is so funny! So he can dance then? Well that sounded like fun, 1:15 that's a little late. (: Talk to you later.
Bluedust, sounded like a great date!! And sorry to hear about your fender bender, but your right thankfully no one was hurt!
Hey 2394- I'm glad to hear your sleeping well...Yeah drinking late at night would keep your peepers open...I love drinking green tea..I drink a total of six 16oz. bottles of green tea daily...I wish I could drink the tea straight, but it's tooo bitter tasting, so I add sugar-free drink mix to the tea to hide it bitter taste... Another way I have my daily dose of green tea is I cook with it...Any of my cooking that requires water I add green tea instead... When I frist started to cook with tea I told myself "man this is going to be gross..." Turns out that I can not detect the taste of the tea in the food... The reason why I started cooking with tea is that it has a good source of antioxidants and it a good appetite suppressant....Oh, I'm sorry Boy am I rude ....What's up or new with you???? Hugs BlueDust
oh, geez, my dog just got drenched. Apparently it started to pour when I let him out for a stretch. Gotta go dry him up. He stinks like wet dog... P.U.!!!
Sorry you messed up your finger...Hope it feels better soon...I wish I had money to travel...I'll just bop around town in my bruised car (my poor scion) snifle, snifle...Wow, you like U2 too..MEEEE tooooo!!!! Well get back to your homework...Take a break in an hour and we'll blog some more...Hus BlueDust
BlueDust I am okay. I didn't know that green tea was an appetite suppressant. I hope your car won't cost too much. It is raining here again, oh man I hate it. I need to move to sunny California with you. I am glad to hear your date went well and he can dance, nice! Have a good night!
BlueDust, your post went to my time zone and mine went to yours!
Hey JMT928 how are you doing? Thank you for your concern..I was really frightened, thank god my mom was with me... I freaked out a little..I went for a little walk while my mom collected their information...The noise the other car bumping my bumper made me have a flash back of my accident four years ago, and my emtions came out... I pulled myself together and by the time I came backfrom my little walk a cop car pulled up...He asked us if we were okay... We told him we were fine and that our insurance was going to handle the matter...The cop was very good looking...Oh, boy was he good looking...Anyway all is fine now...Thanks once again for asking Hugs BlueDust
2394- No, I don't think it will cost to to much...I don't think it should exceed $500.00 dollars...The lady's insurance will take care of it... Thank you for caring...That's strange how the times were switched...I think the IM computer is getting confused...Have a great night...Blog you later
BlueDust I didn't know you liked U2! I saw them twice on the Vertigo tour, they were awesome! Actually I think that they are back in the studio, so maybe we'll get another album from them in the middle of next year and a tour next Christmas or Jan of 2008. Wow I'll be a senior ny then. jmt928 I know that wet dog smell very well, our dog loves to swim in the pool so he's always wet smelly. 2394 you are so lucky it's raining, it's not bad here but I love the rain. When it rains I call my best friend and we both go outside and spin around in circles in the back yard while on the phone with each other. Yeah she loves the rain too, cept she's the one who jumps in ALL the puddles. (: Well I'm just being lazy and useless right now, mucho amor ladies!
Hey BlueDust! I'm sorry to hear about your car and your the little "fender bender". I hate it when stuff like that happens. I'm glad you and the other person(s) are alright.
Hey Missy!!! Well I'm glad that I make your day! ;) My Saturday has been pretty good. I didn't get up until 1:00 because of that whole thing last night... it kept me awake for a few hours. Anyway, after I woke up I went shopping with my mom and when I got home I mowed the lawn. Now I have to go clean my room and finish up some History homework........ YUCK!!! How has your weekend been?
Everybody else....... HI!!!! How has everybody's weekend been so far? I love you all!
Whoops, sorry BlueDust.... brainfart! I meant to say "....and the** little "fender bender". I don't know why I put "your" in there.....
Missy I don't mind the rain sometimes, but it has been dark and gloomy here for a while and it gets depressing. It is also damp and makes my hair go crazy! It's going to rain again tomorrow. You wouldn't like the rain here in Ontario.
Welcome back gooangela. What a scary thing to happen at least no one was hurt. You know the same thing happen to us when I was a kid. Crash out side, they ran out of the car, and then the police got there. Only differce was they crashed into my parents house (fence) alittle faster and they would have went into thier bedroom. So glad it wasn't serious. Bluedust sounds like you had a fun date with Josh. On the other hand I 'm sorry to hear about your car. Hopefully the other partys insurance will cover it. Glad you are okay. hi all I am going to turn in. It has been a long Sat. Have a good one ladies. ;)
2394- I love the rain too, but you're right to much rain can be very depressing...Thank you googirl1, gooangela and Missy for your nice comments...Luv ya girls..I will blog you later... Hey should we retire "Boobie Kong" now...Just a thought BlueDust
Yeah lets say GOO-bye to BOBBIE-KONG, and go to the doughnut chicken sandwich....EEWWWWW!!! Shout out to all my blogging buddies hope all is well with you all!!!
Bluedust, gooangela did you see the date is confirmed for HOB in Anaheim. For New Years. I can not wait to pre sale the tickets!!! I am screaming right now!!!!!
Oh my gosh, I know googirl1!!!!!!!! I was freakin' out when I saw that! It's not on my b-day anymore, but it's close enough, just one day off! I can't even contain myself! I hope I win a M&G! That would be THE best b-day present ever!
Well I have to say goodbye to Boobie-Kong now........ goodbye.
